We are delighted to share that Chase New Homes has completed the purchase of a new 13-acre site at Thaxted Road, Saffron Walden; with the benefit of outline planning permission for 170 dwellings, including 68 affordable homes.
This new scheme will be our second development in Saffron Walden, with our first (which is on-site currently), comprising 96 dwellings through the careful and sensitive conversion of the 18th Century built ‘Friends School’ on Mount Pleasant Road, and the associated new build homes in its wider grounds.
Saffron Walden was recently named as the ‘best place to live in the East of England’ in the annual “Sunday Times Best Places to Live Guide”; so, we are naturally very excited to be extending our presence in this attractive and highly sought after market town.
